Anthony Bourdain had suggested LiPo as a destination for an extra strength maitai. The bartender at the alembic suggested the ” Chinese whiskey”. I was unaware that it isn’t a whiskey at all. I was informed after I had taken the shot, it is a blend of 100 Chinese herbs that have been fermented. Some people say it is mildly hallucinagenic. I can neither confirm nor deny that, as the rest of the evening is only hazily recalled.
